HC Veggie Stew

This recipe is a great way to boost your immune system!


  • 3 Beef Marrow Bones
  • 2 Ham Hocks
  • 2 cups Potatoes
  • 2 cups Carrots
  • 1 Large onion
  • 6 Brussels Sprouts (cut in quarters)/or Cabbage
  • 1 Bulb Garlic
  • 2 cups Tomatoes
  • 1 pound of green beans
  • 2 cups Corn
  • 1 tsp dried Basil, 1 tsp Thyme , Salt & Pepper to taste
  • ½ Stick Butter
  • Salt & Pepper to taste


  1. Roast the beef marrow bones and ham hocks in butter and garlic for 2-3 hours.
  2. Add 1 cup of water or stock and seasonings.
  3. Let simmer for 1 hour.
  4. Remove the bones and add the marrow and meat to broth.
  5. Combine the carrots, potatoes, onions, brussels sprouts, green beans, tomatoes, and corn.
  6. Bring back to a boil.
  7. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer until vegetables are tender. (Aprox 90 min)
  8. Serve with cornbread for a true comfort taste.
