Setup/ Equipment: Suet, 2 portable burners, 3 big pots, cheesecloth, 2 strainers, plastic container, big spoon with holes, aluminum foil, thermometer

Instructions:

Step 1: Get burners and turn them on high. Take two large pots and fill them with suet. Place them on the heat.

Step 2: Cut cheesecloth and double-line the third pot and the containers.

Step 3: Scoop off any beef residue with the spoon as the suet melts down and cooks. Place it in a container lined with aluminum foil. (dispose of it when finished)

Step 4: Watch until the temperature reaches 230 degrees.

Step 5: When tallow reaches 230 degrees, take and strain into the pot lined with cheesecloth.

Step 6: Transfer into heat-resistant container also lined with cheesecloth.

Step 7: Let cool overnight, and wake up to homemade tallow!
